I’m trying a new format, using blogging software. There are some things that I don’t know how to change, and it’s frustrating. The wisest thing to do would be to read the codex and figure it out on my own, but I like things to come easy for me. I’m sure with my sister Terrie’s help, I’ll figure it out eventually!
It’s been a month since I last wrote, and even so there aren’t a ton of updates. My Dad had hip replacement surgery and is doing well. I think the recovery was more than he was prepared for or expected, but he is getting good therapy and will hopefully be as good as new in no time. The old blog is archived, and I will continue to update Reese’s own baby blog until she turns a year old. (And yuck, I don’t know how to add a link on this new format!)
Everyone else is doing great. We are fairly healthy, after some yucky-ness spread around. The work on the basement progresses slowly, we have our taxes done, so we just try to stay warm, keep marching onward with school, and relax every once in a while.
I took pictures of Reese, which many of you saw, and then took more of the girls. I’m hoping to print them out to put on our 3/4 wall in the living room that is empty and gathering dust.
Ethan has his scouting blue&gold banquet next week, and also his birthday where he will be turning 9 and progressing to his bear rank.
Alisa’s birthday was a lot of fun. She had a princess party with 4 other little girls and it was easy: just let them play and eat. Success has never been so simple.
Gabby talks about her birthday plans occasionally, but hasn’t decided on them. Reese will probably have a party the Saturday closest to her birthday. Zach is doing great. He is finally getting his braces tightened to the point that it is bothersome. His root canal seems to have fixed any issues he had with that tooth. And Dylan is Dylan. Saying and doing things that not only drive us crazy, but make us laugh outrageously!
